The Sales Support Specialist provides oversight and management of Salesforce.com and support to the sales team in meeting the objectives of the sales organization.
Duties & Responsibilities:
Provides sales support to the department (reports, daily and weekly sales, etc.).
Prepares sales presentations and related marketing materials and serve as a point of contact for client requests.
Serve as an SAP Business Objects power user by providing support of complex reports, time aggregated metrics and Sales Dashboards.
Provide end-user support for Salesforce.com by providing day-to-day support for end user questions for lead management, marketing campaign integration and data access and training.
Monitor the sales process effectiveness and sales opportunity pipeline in Salesforce.com.
Manage the integration of various system inputs from internal departments, partners and other providers.
Handle Salesforce.com user administration tasks, including access management, permission sets, account coding and role assignments, uploads, data backups, etc.
Perform administrative functions in Salesforce such as field and page configurations, validation rules and management of workflows.
Be proficient using Salesforce Data Loader and other mass data management.
Provide first-level support to the field, including issue identification and resolution/escalation.
Monitor and analyze site metrics, system performance and user activity.
Identify critical issues impacting operations and strategy from metrics including productivity, account trends, lead-to-sales analysis and segment trends.
Develop and maintain customized reports and dashboards in Salesforce for Sales KPI management.
Maintain data quality through ongoing data analysis and reporting results to senior management.
Conduct competitive market intelligence in building the salesforce strategic plan.
Create and document application requirements by working together with those involved in the development of program enhancements and changes including program staff, IT, and other sales staff.
Developing annual sales budget and annual sales forecast.
Keep application users informed about system functionality and enhancements.
Assists in sales, strategic and target account planning process.
Participate in the sales development activity in close coordination with the sales team.
Demonstrates independence and initiative as a self-starter.
Key Technical Skills & Knowledge:
Bachelor’s degree in business, IT, marketing or similar field.
Minimum 3 years of Salesforce.com platform experience at administrator level, in-depth knowledge of Salesforce products.
Salesforce.com Administrator certification a plus.
Strong experience in SAP BO or other BI reporting platform as a power user.
Proactive and driven to continually understand available data tools, best practices and processes relative to Salesforce.com, marketing automation and other add-on technology for continued efficiency and effectiveness of the database.
Demonstrated analytical skills and comfort with analyzing data and providing metrics.
Proficiency in Microsoft Suite, Excel (Pivot tables, macros, etc.), PowerPoint, etc.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Exceptional organization, prioritization, multi-tasking and time management skills.
Strong problem solving and analytical skills.
Previous experience in Logistics or Transportation preferred.
