NCS Business Architecture team plays a key role in shaping and supporting Business process improvement and transformation initiatives within the division. As a Business Analyst within the Business Architecture team, you will be responsible for working with internal and external clients on process improvement initiatives which include mapping and analyzing business operations and processes, documenting them using best practices and recommending solutions that align with business goals. You will participate in and collaborate with stakeholders to understand business problems, identify improvement projects, determine project scope and support the development of product roadmaps through Research & Discovery and by mapping divisional business capabilities.

Defines business process requirements, researches and maps capabilities, presents recommendations, drives solutions, gains consensus, tests to confirm, and implements solutions in alignment with business goals.
Analyzes and gathers customer requirements to develop product roadmap and identify possible solutions
Working with business partners and SMEs, creates documentation of business processes and identifies and supports process improvement projects.
Generates and creates presentations to stakeholders to enable decision making; researches and analyzes data and reports trends to management/ business partners.
Oversees projects for business departments and/or acts as a liaison/strategic partner between FAC and government entities, vendors, corporations and other FA divisions to define business processes and/or generate, update and create various products and services.
When new processes are identified, may drive implementation or hand off to Project Management Team for implementation.
Provides informal training as part of implementation process. May provide formal training and support directly to customers.
Knowledge and Skills/Qualifications
Strong Business and problem analysis skills with experience of working with business stakeholders and SMEs
Analytical skills to determine root cause of problems and capturing business and operational challenges
Ability to analyze a situation, interview, formulate questions, and probe for deeper knowledge/ understanding and synthesize the responses
Has basic knowledge or background in business management, production, and/or operations environment
Ability to communicate well with Stakeholders, both with technology team members and senior business leaders
Knowledge of or experience in Agile and Waterfall project methodologies
Capability Mapping experience or general Business Architecture framework knowledge is a plus
Remote Employees in the LA or OC areas are OK as long as they can travel to Santa Ana (Main Campus) and Rancho Cucamonga 2-3 times a month and for key meetings as required.
2-5 years of direct experience in engaging business SMEs or stakeholders to map current and future state business process designs and translating them into artifacts such as process maps, business requirements and use cases using industry best practices
Bachelors in Management Degree, BS or equivalent work experience
Typically have 2- 5 years of directly related experience in a Business Analyst role on the business side
