The Master Data Senior Analyst is responsible for Master Data integrity and adherence to governance standards within Global Master Data Management (MDM). This role requires closely working with end-users, business units, and other business (Finance, Product Management) functions and resources in all stages of day-to-day MDM operations including investigation, resolution, and user testing, to ensure business services and requests are successfully identified, managed, and resolved/closed to customer satisfaction. This individual should demonstrate the highest levels of customer service, productivity, and professionalism. This is a hands-on position requiring strong MDM analytical skills, experience, and business expertise, highlighting the expertise of global MDM in all business interactions.
The Senior Analyst is also responsible for the coordination and execution of all Master Data activities for one or more Master Data domains (Item, vendor) and/or Master Data for one or more business units. Serves as the go-to-person for this domain or business unit(s).
The Senior Master Data Analyst will partner with IT to ensure technical solutions align with business needs. This person will report to the Master Data Manager in the US. The Global Master Data Department consists of three teams located in the Netherlands, China, and Warsaw. The department reports into the Worldwide Operations organization and is the business owner of all Master Data processes within Zimmer Biomet.
Principal Duties and Responsibilities
The Master Data Senior Analyst is accountable for the accuracy, completeness, timeliness, and management of Master Data. Compliance with business standards and procedures, as well as working to continuously improve data standards, quality, reporting, and processes that includes input, change functions, auditing, and data cleansing. •Coordinate Master Data creation, updates, and analysis using various systems including INFOR XA, SAP, JD Edwards (JDE), Master Data Management tool(s) (Example: MDM 3.1) •Build relationships with key stakeholders in domain or business unit(s) and meet their requests in a timely manner •Develop business rules in coordination and teamwork with global MDM team in EMEA and design and implement the associated KPI in order to ensure the correct standards of data accuracy. •Provide systems testing services and support for unit testing, verification, validation, and error reporting •Monitor data accuracy, validity, and the completeness and correctness of the data as required •Act as a key contact for problem resolution and initiate data corrective actions based on performing/reporting data audit analysis •Assist the data stewards by sharing knowledge and guidance regarding Master Data processes •Configure and maintain standard and custom tables in MDM tool and ERP systems •Work closely with the business and IT to ensure alignment of Master Data rules and the operations of the application •Identify and drive implementing improvements •Initiate and lead Master Data projects as determined through the MDM Strategy

Team player; excellent collaboration with team members locally and globally and share knowledge, MDM findings, requirements, and solutions Strong analytical thinking and problem solving skills, focus on detail (passion for data integrity) Proficient computer skills including ERP expertise and MS office (Excel, Word, Visio, and PowerPoint) Proven capability to understand and work within an international/global environment Very strong problem decomposition skills Experience working in a highly regulated environment Experience with CAPA plans, resolution, and FDA audits regarding Master Data Experience capturing requirements to fit user, and both out of box and custom configurations Knowledge of databases, data integration, cleansing, extraction, and migration projects Work independently and lead assignments of moderate to medium complexity. Provide direction and share knowledge with leadership, peers, junior team members and/or external consultants Identify and create solutions to common MDM repetitive problems/issues. Partner with customer community to devise or modify procedures to solve complex problems or improve existing processes.
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Logistics, Engineering, or other related fields Track record and certification in project management such as PMP or Certified Scrum Master Experience working in a highly regulated environment At least 5 years of experience in a business driven MDM environment and Product Lifecycle Management Systems environment with ERP systems and databases Proven capabilities to act within an international environment is a plus 5-7 years of work experience Excellent organizational, prioritization, and independent decision making skills. Consistently apply the concepts of appropriate standard methodologies and best practices. Excellent written and verbal communication skills across all aspects of the business Certifications in any data governance organizations or membership of an association such as International Institute of Business Analysis (IIBA) or Data Management Association (DAMA)
